The coupe and convertible variants of the C-Class and E-Class are gone, and what we get instead is the CLE, which, just like the CLK in the past, is a fusion of those two models.

Available only as a soft-top that can be opened and closed up to 37 mph, the new CLE obviously matches Mercedes current design language, and I think Mercedes hit the nail with it’s size - slightly bigger than the C-Class and the old E Coupe, but not as big as the new E-Class - exactly what most buyers are looking for in.

As of Fall 2024, we get 2 powertrain options in the United States - CLE 300 and CLE 450. All CLEs are mild hybrids, and what it means is there is a small, 23-hp electric motor that’s sits between the transmission and the engine, to give you extra power and improve fuel efficiency.

Other luxury convertibles to consider are a BMW 4 Series convertible, Audi A5 Cabriolet, Ford Mustang.
