Read Vital's in-depth review of the Transition Spire
The Spire is Transition's newest, and biggest mountain bike to date. Despite having less travel than the TR-11 (Transition's downhill bike), its wheelbase is longer. Numbers aside, Transition has billed this bike as more of an all-rounder and ready to party in the woods, as is the Bellingham brand's moniker. Was Transition able to perform some sort of wizardry and make those numbers shrink once on dirt? We couldn't wait to find out.

The Transition sounds like an ideal bike. How do you think the alloy version compares to the carbon? Would it really be the same feel plus two pounds or would there be a different frame feel?

I love my new Transition Spire. I also have the 2019 base model aluminum Santa Cruz Bronson and the Spire is so much nicer!

How tall were your test riders and did you ever want a large? I’m thinking about the large but feel it might be too long for my type of riding.

So stoked for mine to come in. Did you guys ever get a weight for it? Also, I know Brad had a Scout... I have a Scout. Love that bike in the Reno area. Do they feel similar as far as the "harsh" suspension feel??

Why do the Fox Manufacturers and bike companies keep agreeing to use those ugly blue caps on the forks, especially when they do not even match the color scheme of a bike worth more than $5000? This is total stupidity, at least Fox should offer black caps or more neutral color and I do not understand why bike manufacturers do not put more pressure on Fox. Other than that, great bike and great video!!
