In this video I run and review the Axial SCX6 Trail Honcho! I grabbed this during the recent Black Friday sales offered by Horizon Hobby after lusting over it for months. This truck is BIG: big size, big performance, big price. Is it worth it? Watch on to find out!

I know this was just posted 1 minute ago but DUDE I'm so stoked for you!!! It took everything in my power NOT to pull the trigger on ANOTHER SCX6 after I saw your Short! I bought the original the day it was released and it's been my favorite RC of all time. I did a full rebuild last winter and other than new foams and a direct power servo I haven't had to upgrade or fix anything other than a suspension link that was a victim of the massive torque an NSDRC servo can put out

I always looked after the SCX6 Jeep cause i got the SCX3 JLU and love it. And i saw one at an Event and it came out bigger for me then in the Pictures. As u say.. when u see it in real omg;) But this Honcho in red omg, after your Video i want one ^^. The Lights omg i love it and the easy Swivel mount also. Thats the only annoyingt thing on the 1:10 Jeep, taking the Bodypins in and out. Mabey next Season when the Sun comes out here in Germany i will get one. For now i stay at Home with the small ones and saving Money for the SCX6 ^^ Great Video i really like your Videos.👍

If you watch the panhard mounts and servo mounts, they flex a lot. I replaced mine with vitavon c hubs/knuckles plus the front shock towers since it incorporates the panhard mount. That made a huge difference in the steering response. I also fell in love with the vitavon v2 wheels so I got those for the super swampers I had to get. I run in wet conditions mostly and they never disappoint me. I put steady foams inside and they work amazingly. They flex but they hold up great on side hills. I've got more with more planned but like you said, it's an amazing truck right out of the box

My buddy and I run our SCX6 almost every weekend at an old missile site with blasted ledge. Our 10s were fun there but the 6s are on another level. You’re welcome to join us. Up in Middleton Mass

I run steady foams in mine and they work great I also have a bec running at 8 volts and it really helps the stock servo. I know the servo isnt made to run that high of voltage but when it dies I'll replace it.

Sweet truck man 🤯😁 i am just finding the scx6 😉 i have an arrma fireteam that i have built up to the max 🤣😉 running 6.5" tires on that and max6 combo. But that sucker is more of a speed demon and huge jumps. Like moto cross track stuff 😉 i love the squishy tires. I bet that helps a ton with traction on that kind of cruising. I am thinking of building one of these from scratch instead of buying one and upgrading all the stuff 😁 all metal. I am probably close to $2500 on the fireteam. The truck in begining was like $750. Thanks for the great video man!! 😁 I want one 😉

I got the same truck during that deal. Really impressed with it. Glad you took it to a course! I'm way too scared to do it yet.

Found that the stock ESC settings were kinda odd, especially the BEC at 6V. Maybe just my servo, but it was worthless at 6V, fine at 7.4. Steering servo specs show a rating for 7.2, seems ok so far. Need a program card to set the BEC.

My car hauler truck is 3 feet long, I’ll have to check how wide the body is didn’t think of that one, but yes I always wanted to get that 1/6 scale just never pulled the trigger. But my car hauler I just got made up for it turned out worth the wait 👍👍😎
