But see, that's exactly it. That would require the scripts to be good, which would require Sony to put legitimate effort into the films instead of just tossing sh-t at the wall and hoping it sticks. And as we've seen, effort is not something that Sony really cares about as long as they can keep the rights.

I think, given their stubbornness to STILL make a universe, they’ll definitely use Spider-Man in their movies but it won’t be Tom (they’re very aware of the insane backlash it’ll cause). They also know people understand variants a lot more now so they’ll probably just make a new Peter (or like you said, pull one from the Spider-Verse movies).

They could pull Andrew, but he WILL NOT come back unless they 100% know what they’re doing and have a fantastic plan laid out (which they likely won’t). That’s why I think he won’t come back for their universe (he only really trusts Marvel Studios tbh) and Tobey is honestly the same way. A new Spidey is gonna be their best bet (tho I really don’t have any confidence in their plans at all).
