“BELIEVE” is the 3rd single from metallized rockers Game Zero, extracted from the new album "W.A.R. - We Are Right" out now!
It's inspired by the true story of Onoda Hiroo, an Imperial Japanese Army intelligence officer who fought in the Philippine Island of Lubang during World War II.
He had been ordered to stop the enemy advance and not to give up, at the cost of his own life. He did not surrender at the war's end in August 1945.
After the war ended Onoda spent 29 years hiding out in the Philippines. He held the rank of second lieutenant in the Imperial Japanese Army.
He was the penultimate Japanese 'ghost soldier' to surrender.
