Just got back from a holiday at Straddie where I grew up. Paradise still, miss living there ❤

I spent the summer of 97'/98' on the Gold Coast, El Niño year, 3 months we stayed at Broadbeach, waves absolutely pumped on the beaches, banks super lined up, Straddie was such a fun wave as well, loved going over there, the paddle was an experience as an 18 year old Cornish kid though haha. I remember a guy used to do water taxi's but you'd get no respect if you took one of those, apparently someone burnt it down as the crowds were getting ridiculous! might of been a rumour. What a summer, great memories. (plus the Edge nightclub at Broady Thursday nights) haha epic
