People who listen to Mac are always stated to be “Basic” but c’mon, how can you not like Mac Demarco?

I saw mac live a couple of days ago. He spent the last 20 minutes making dinosaur noises. It was the most beautiful experience of my life

The first time I ever listened to Mac Demarco, I was laying on a hammock in Jamaica, and it was during the summer time . It was probably the most magical experiences I’ve ever had, just watching the sunset next to a beautiful beach. I’m pretty sure I listened to an albums worth of songs but every time I hear a Mac Demarco song, I’m reminded of that experience.

Simply beautiful. Mac is a rare gem in this crazy crazy world. When I first discovered him I thought he had the same twinkle in his eye and goofy personality as Kurt Cobain. Too good for this world. I hope Mac stays around and lives a long, happy, and creative life (: His music has been the soundtrack to the last 6 years of my life - in good times and bad. Good vibes to all the fellow Mac fans (:

Mac wasn’t so goofy when I first discovered him back in 2012, around the time 2 was released. I feel like when he became more famous he just got goofier over the years. But honestly I like it. He’s more comfortable with himself and has a wicked sense of humor! And This Old Dog is his best album yet!

Whoa. That whole dad part was intense. Watching the interaction with his father followed by an intimate, acoustic performance of "my old man" hit me some type of way. Respect.

In one sense, he's overrated. Everyone knows him and his songs and because of his antics. But in another sense, he's underrated. I had no clue his music was so introspective and made him vulnerable. It's hard to realize that when his lyrics are backed by such a happy, warm tone.

Now that I think of it, maybe listening to his music is like have a deep conversation with an old friend drinking some beers and smoking around a campfire rather than some dude jamming out to jam out and be cool. Much respect, mac.

The interaction between Mac and his dad felt like a scene out of Trailer Park Boys.

He’s an indie world genius honestly, he’s one in a million these days anyway! he appears so effortless like his ability to create interesting, fresh, cool tunes and great lyrics that actually have a meaning is amazing and a national treasure, I mean that he’s so special
