This powertrain delivers a max power of 201 brake horsepower at 3,400rpm and a maximum torque of 500Nm at 2,800rpm. It also delivers impressive responsiveness at low revs. The automatic transmission contributes to a smooth and comfortable driving experience.

Just to confirm for those asking, this vehicle has a 6 speed automatic transmission due to it's availability to specific markets.

This one comes with an 8 speed auto not 6. I hope a manual transmission will be offered in the facelifted models.

In Asia, The Toyota Fortuner shares the same 2.8 liter diesel engine as the Toyota Prado...Its like having a stainless ballpoint pen and a plastic ballpoint pen sharing the same pen cartridge...Toyota needs a new stronger diesel engine to power the Prado..to make it distinct and money worthy rather than share the same engine with Fortuner...
