I review, breakdown and explain Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 13. I discuss Season 5 Part 2 and give my reaction to the aftermath of Sarah’s death, John Dutton’s death, Colby’s death and how it has impacted the characters. I react to the ending where Kayce revealed his plan on how to save the ranch, who he was going to sell it to, what it means for the finale, Beth auctioning off the horses and cattle, and Jamie meeting with Christina and working out how to clear his name. I connect the show to 1883, James Dutton’s promise, 1923 and also give my theories and predictions on episode 14.

Who do you think Kayce will send the land to? Do you think the promise James Dutton made will be fulfilled? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Sheridans ego got in the way of making this episode great.

This season has been the worst, it's basically a Taylor Sheridan commercial or show off. Either Sheridan riding or shirtless being a Playboy. Although I find it funny when the credits hit "executive producer or director Kevin Costner" is the first name/line that hits.

This episode sucked. Half of it was Taylor Sheridan bragging. Even when Rip was recounting the bar fight he had with him he sounded like a giddy school girl. Not in Rip's character at all. Really weird. And Kaycee figuring out a financial solution that Beth didn't think of out of thin air you kidding me? This writing is terrible and painfully I think we are getting a season 6 and this segway crap is our warning of it.

Pretty easy solution with Kaseys son and wife being native. His son can get the ranch and fulfill James Duttons promise.

Did anyone notice the train whistle when he was visiting his son’s mother? I suspect that may be a sign of where Jamie will end up in the final episode.

Taylor Sheridan is certainly full of himself, isn't he? Most of the episode was an homage to him, riding his horses, flexing in the swimming pool. Even killing off Colby was done to stroke his own ego by showing us (again) that cowboyin' is a tough, dangerous business only for the strong, and Sheridan is a cowboy so he must be strong.

Every time Teeter appeared on screen, it had me in tears 😢 The bar scene then had me in fits of laughter 😂

@travelinlight1141 - I love the show, but you absolutely hit the nail on the head - too much Taylor Sheridan, Rip totally out of character, and Kayce figuring out something that Beth never thought of business wise - please, horrible writing…..

I thought the scenes of Beth with Taylor Sheridan were worse than creepy and so out of character for Beth. Taylor Sheridan just put his disgusting “Beth fantasies” in the show. Very yucky.

I understand returning the land but this season has been nothing more than a look at me for Sheridan just sad

This isn’t how taxes work. But whatever. The ranch will become the reservation I think.

The scenes with Taylor in his house came off as extremely weird and out of place for me. The entire length of the show he’s been portrayed as a no nonsense serious respected horse wrangler and all of the sudden now he’s some party animal who drinks and is a womanizer.

Crazy theyre doing so well at destroying the best show made in a long time.

Taylor Sheridan has got to be one of the most self centered person in the world! He cant go one episode without putting himself in the show!

The only thing about the Jamie going along with his BM advice about the non-affair/complicit aspect is that Jamie is unaware that the hitmen bugged his house and have footage of Jamie going full throttle on Sarah. Wonder if that will f up his plan in the final episode?

Kayce's son has to be one of the most pointless characters on tv right now. He says the most cringe shit.

It’s so cool to see new dynamics we’ve never seen before. How many times did Beth & Kayce EVER interact before these past few eps. If anything, it was a LONG time coming. The writers seemed to love the Beth/John/Jamie/Rip dynamics so much that Tolbert no room for Kayce & Beth.

And I don’t think Beth EVER talked w/Rainwater before last Ep. Losing Kostner is certainly a blow, but it also gives us some new, interesting connections.

Also, still think Beth’s constant harassment of Jamie, justified or not, makes her somewhat responsible for her father’s passing. She broke Jamie, even though, ultimately he was right about how to save a big chunk of the Ranch.

All you people need to read the credits at the end where it states '' THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION...
