The competition between the United States and China, as well as the innovation that comes from the private sector, is driving the charging advancement of military technology. Drones, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, lasers, and robotics will all become increasingly common. The Department of Defense allocated a record $130.1 billion for research and development in its fiscal year 2023 budget. While keeping a close eye on the Ukraine conflict and other global tensions, the military is increasingly focused on technological solutions that could potentially give the US an advantage in the conflict. However, the US Navy recently admitted to having advanced and lethal technology that will send shivers down your spine. What exactly is this technology, and how will it be used by the US Navy? Join us in today's video as we unravel the United States Navy's most recent and complex invention.
In the 1951 science fiction film "The Day the Earth Stood Still," powerful ray guns are shown vaporizing rifles and even tanks. Light sabers and massive spaceship-mounted laser cannons are just two examples of the many types of directed energy weapons depicted in the Star Wars movies. These types of weapons, known as directed energy weapons, are now becoming a reality. DE weapons can take the form of high-energy lasers, high-power radio frequency or microwave devices, charged or neutral particle beam weapons, and other similar technologies. Lasers and microwaves are both components of the electromagnetic spectrum, which also includes light energy and radio waves. The wavelength and frequency of the energy is what differentiates the two of them from one another. In spite of the fact that they are both a part of the electromagnetic spectrum, laser weapons and microwave weapons function in very different ways and produce very different effects. Think of the difference between a laser pointer and a flashlight. The laser light is coherent in a single color, whereas the flashlight emits broad-spectrum light. Laser light, due to its coherence, can remain concentrated for very long distances—even thousands of miles into space. But with laser weapons, instead of thinking in terms of a laser pointer, the mental image should be more like a powerful, long-range blowtorch!

My Dad was a seal in Vietnam and said that whatever " technology " they publicly say they have, they are decades of years ahead of what they release to the public.

If they are showing us this what do they really have?

I am 78 years old and vividly remember reading a school library book about beams of light setting fire to everything .that was over 60 years ago .

"Long range blow torch". Maui comes to mind.

The primary purpose of laser weapons is to destroy hypersonic missiles. These missiles are however protected against temperatures of 1000 degrees Celcius. To pierce this armor the laser must have a power of approximately 1 Mega Watt. Atomic-powered aircraft carriers have all the power needed to use these lasers. It has been estimated that the cost of each "shot" fired by a laser would be the equivalent of the price of a cup of coffee.

Looks like they are testing it offshore near Maui...

I agree by the time they're just closing to us that they have these things they usually have something ten times better in their other hand so yeah I'm slightly terrified at this moment

Who is here after the kula Hawaii wildfire 🔥

The US Navy better have the most advanced weapons. We funnel enough money into the research over the last 50yrs. Good news

The people responsible for Hawaii need to be held accountable, legal or not.

Imagine this in the hands of someone who coveted Maui 🤔

You’re telling us that it was tested for the first time in 2020? Then how is it that people have been talking about DEWs since the early 2000’s? They waited 20 years to test it? Not buying it

The media as well as this video loves to show laser beams as visible rays of light. Given how clean the medium they travel through those beams are mostly invisible unless there is a lot of rain or dust in the air. A visible laser beam means a laser that is losing energy on it's way to the target

They started testing lasers on Navy Ships in 2015. I'm sure they work much better today and even better tomorrow!

they can use DEW microwaves to heat up ocean surface and start a hurricane, they can also use said weapon to increase the hurricane's strength if the hurricane seems to lose power, they might even have some influence using DEW to control path of hurrican, then they can use DEW lasers to start wildfires and use said hurricane as cover to blame for undetectable lasers that actually started the wildfire, also DEW lasers can be precision tool for control of area where wildfire will burn, all this while having the benefit of deniability for any such involvement for what will be blamed as an "act of God"

They seemed to work quite well in hawaii. No sirens, no warnings, water supply was cut off by state officials aswell as the fact that people were barricaded and coaxed people toward the fires. Also 8 days before the "natural" disaster occurred legislation was signed changing loan amounts and interest rates in the case of an emergency thereby incentivising people to sell in the case of said emergency. This many coinciding facts is highly suspicious especially considering after the fires the governor announced his plans for the state to take control of the land planning to send residents to other locations in hawaii (if you want the exact quote ask and I'll find it). It's the highest property prices in America aswell with many residents who have declined million dollar offers for their land as they are/were attached to the land more than they were to money. Also it's convenient for people like Oprah who have 100s of acres that were left completely untouched, it seems to be that richer areas were left untouched according to what most locals are saying. As an Australian who has experienced fires significantly larger where only a few people die it's highly suspicious and itd be irrational not to expect a nefarious cause. Also there's videos of cars completely burnt with grass around them seeming to be completely untouched. Sure some of these facts are explainable but all of them together paints a very suspicious/convenient picture.

Did you know, last year secret "satellite" was actually laser system which now floats above russian nuclear launch pads. If any movement appears, laser will eliminate such rockets on the spot

People believe that a "Wild Fire" couldn't possibly be started by a laser... It's amazing to watch cognitive dissonance in combination with naivete.

This is what I’m been saying. Everyone was talking about China getting advanced. I didn’t even think on it. America has the biggest military expenditure in the world, and has had it for a very Long time. We have stuff that would blow your mind. Stuff so highly advanced that it makes jets and nukes and HAARP and all of that look like child’s play. China, Russia, Iran, all of them don’t even come close. We spend more on our black budget secret military programs then those countries do on their military altogether. That’s why the government doesn’t really seem to care about them becoming more technically advanced. Rockets that fly super fast oh wow that would be great if you would be able to even launch the rockets before your wiped off the map by some crazy ass lazer that would not only penetrate deep underground bunkers but also if fired at even 20% it would set off 10.0 earthquakes and major volcanic activity in the whole area creating super storms and all sorts of shit. That’s why we don’t really seem to be competing anymore like we used too. Because we already won the weapons race long ago.
