Carl XII:s marsch vid Narva (Narvan marssi) - Vocaloid Choir

Показать описание
My first Vocaloid upload in Swedish (also first-appearance of Len and Luka in my vids). Mind you, I would have made the Finnish version but, because of copyright issues, I had to make the Swedish version. (Only the Swedish lyrics are old enough to be published.)
Vocaloid Choir:
Soprano: Miku
Alto: Luka
Tenor: Len
Bass: Mikuo
Song info:
Name: Carl XII:s marsch vid Narva
Finnish: Narvan marssi
English: Narva March
Composer: Unknown, probably of Irish origin
Arrangement: Johann Christian Haeffner
Lyrics: Erik Gustaf Geier
You can find the full poem here:
Finnish translation: Alpo Noponen
English translation by me. Please, feel free to give me suggestions to improve my translation!
Development history: I started working on the song on the 3rd of July and roughly managed to finish the notes and lyrics. I wanted to try out my new Vocaloids (Rin, Len and Luka), so Rin would have naturally been the soprano. Well, I tried using her at first, but she sounded too nasal and fuzzy compared to good ol' trusty Miku, so I switched her. (Don't worry, Rin! I'll let you sing a song, one day.) :D I started fine-tuning on July the 5th, which took me a lot of time. Actually, it was the first time I really used the clearness and brightness parameters of Vocaloid, but I think it turned out quite nice. :) After the Vocaloid work, I edited the sound with Audacity (compression and reverb). Making the video took most of the time, again. I used Lipsync, but I had to manually fine-tune the mouth movements to make it look good. I made the background with GIMP (I drew Mikuo by modifying Miku). Finally, I combined the video and music with Windows Movie Maker.
NOTE (18.8.2009): I think I made Miku sing too passionately at the end of the song. She is too loud and her vibrato's so over the top that it gets annoying. Well, at least now I know where to improve. :)
