The extra foot one was a joke! If Europeans would grow an extra foot, they would have three feet, not be taller 😂 it was a joke on the way Americans and European calculate height (cm/m vs. foot)

Just some clarifications:
40 °F (USA) is about 4.4 °C. That’s why Americans would think that 40 ° is cold.
40 °C is 104 °F. That’s why the rest of the world (including Europeans) would think 40 ° is warm.

If Americans get an extra foot, they have grown an extra 30, 48 centimetres. For people using the metric system, it’ll mean an extra body part.

At 2:04 I think this was a joke about europeans using metric and Americans using imperial units.(both are used/taught in the US) because growing an extra foot sounds good in imperial, but it could also sound like a mutation, like you grew an extra appendage. At least that's my understanding as an American

I thought the joke of "grew an extra foot" in Europe means you have an extra limb now.
Europe don't use imperial units, so "grew an extra foot" would mean... grew an extra *leg*.

I am from Italy I guess the reasons we prefer smaller cars is that the streets in our cityes are smaller and it's easier to find parking space. When it comes to bread we have many like ciabatta and rosetta.
