Revit Snippet: How to Reduce Revit File Size by 40%!

With this Revit tutorial, you can quickly reduce the file size of your Revit models by around 40%. We will use a completely free Revit plug-in to batch-open each family loaded in the model, do Purge Unused, repeat automatically for any nested families in it no matter how many nesting levels deep, and load each families back into the main model. A final Purge Unused will then magically compress your Revit model and clean up all redundant and obsolete data used by families before they are cleaned. Of course, your file size can reduce even more or slightly less than 40%, depending on how much redundant data are in your families.

I have a method like this.After we purge the filesWhen we open the backup file and save it over the file, the file size decreases.
