KUBA delivers an expertly crafted fusion of psychedelic dub, lush instrumentation, and eastern-influenced ambiance on his next highly anticipated full-length studio album ‘Relative To The Sun’. Including collaborations with legendary producer Youth, sonic dub-reggae pioneer Gaudi, the beautifully spellbinding vocals of Michele Adamson (of Shpongle) and globally renown vocalists Rizwan and Muazzam Khan (nephews of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and founders of the Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwali Group), the result is an eloquent blend of genres, rhythms, and a complex backdrop of intricate sound design.

KUBA's signature dub-laden soundscapes are reminiscent of the quintessential essence of nostalgic Liquid Sound Design releases, yet still maintain a bespoke, unique aesthetic all their own.

The album is such a warm summer bliss in these claustrophobic days in captivity of our own domain and exile from social interaction... Such healing, soothing and romantic sound... It takes us places, where we actually truly want to be: to stay and enjoy! And enjoy we :D

What a wonderful transition from a Sunday morning sleep into a new (world) day. The track with the Indian vocals about 20 minutes ago reminded me of the legendary singer Lata Mangeshar who passed recently. Bless her.

Had you asked me who I thought might be behind this work---had I not already known---I would have been confused. At times, Kuba's style shines brightly, but not so overwhelmingly that I would have said it was just him. What the rest of the talent brought to this session is clear, but just a little harder to define (Youth & Gaudi, et al, are not as stylized) Clearly, there is a LOT of talent involved.
Everyone works extremely well together, and the results are extraordinary. I don't know if those involved have worked together before, but let's hope that this isn't the last time.
