Heatwave Alert: 47 Degree Celsius Recorded In Delhi: IMD Issues Red Alert; How It Impacts Economy

Delhi’s Najafgarh has recorded the hottest temperatures in the country at 47.8 degree Celsius. Delhi is too hot to handle and so are other northern states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch and Vidarbha. Till May 25, Heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in these places as well as per IMD. It is going to be hot and humid in Konkan & Goa, Bihar and Jharkhand for next three days. IMD issued a red alert for five days on Monday in Delhi due to severe heatwave conditions. Pallavi Sharma explains the impact of heatwave on the economy.
