I think people should be quieter, sometimes. Silence is actually gold. Dont get why people are so loud

That's not the case for all people with autism. I have Asperger's and I notice no delay in sounds. I am, however, oversensitive to sound...

I have that same condition of extreme loud noise. I couldn’t help it when I cover my ears from noises like fire alarms, gunshots, firework blowout/whines, and unexpected screaming.

I love how everything focused on CHILDREN as if you grow out of autism LMAO

I have autism but there are specific sounds that bother me, gas leaf blowers, most other small off-road engines, sudden unexpected loud noises especially metallic squeaks and bangs, or being too close to the PA speakers of a loud rock concert or loud DJ session.

I Was Like That When I Was Little I Never Liked Loud Noises Because I Was Afraid It Might Damage My Hearing Even Though I Have Supersonic Hearing Because God Gave It To Me As A Gift When I Was A Baby. Also, I'm Autistic Too BTW.

Kids and adults as well. We grown-ups that are autistic also struggle, but are left to the wilds of the world.

My child is 10 and non verbal. We can’t watch the Tv in our home or play any device where he can hear it. He has hated this since he was 3. Thank goodness our two older sons are moved on with their own lives.

When i was a child and would hear a loud noise, i would cover my ears, but it was too late, I could hear the sound multiply and vibrate in my brain. It made me extremely furious. Did anyone feel that way?

0:40 it aint going to happen. Tell me about. I can tell someone 1 million times to please speak soft and I am still bombarded with sharp shrill yelling. What they fail to realize is it all goes on a mental roster. This means that when the stress gets to more than I can handle more things will be broken. I already broke the cupboard door and smashed out the bathroom door. Now if I could remember a lifetime of soothing voices I would probably not have smashed stuff. It is that I remember shrill, loud, sharp, voices and it makes my meltdown worse. I feel that if you raise your voice at some one you just don't care about them. I wonder what I did to deserve such treatment. I have probably already went through 7 computer mice. Strange though, game controllers last till they wear out. I will never forget the time I was left using a computer mouse that had no top and wheel. I had to use my finger to push a very small button. Maybe I smash mice to prove I am not the brick wall headed person the world makes me out to be. I smash mice so I can prove I can fix em, and even going so far as to get what's left of a mouse to work well enough to use the computer properly.

I doubt I have autism. I just have noise sensitivity. I'm going to try out loop ear buds in the workplace.

It looks really weird when children cover their ears if they're about to SEE something. How could covering your ears eliminate seeing something scary ?
