This is the main difference between Chinese approach and Indian approach. China used the older RD-93 engine but IAF needs best engine for it's AMCA. IAF is suffering because of its impractical and over ambition.

Some outdated and wrong information in the video. J-35A is using WS-13 engine now. Eventually it will use WS-21 engine.
The model that was revealed was J-35A, meaning this is for PLAAF, nothing to do with export. Export version will have a different name. The naval version will be inducted later when the Type 003 becomes operational.
