Kepler was a devout Christian too. He almost became a minister but he felt God wanted him to use his talents in science.

Also, this is the "crystal spheres" cosmology long since abandoned, never heard any reason why Johannes would believe it as it doesn't work with elliptical orbits .

This is what they are doing with string theory. There is math beauty to it so they get attached to it.
What happens however is it difficult to make fit reality, it needs more and more adjustments (like more dimensions).
In my opinion it is time to wrap it up and try something different.

I noticed a brief excerpt in a book I was reading about Johannes Kepler and saw the Platonic solid drawing and decided to look more into it. Even after knowing it was mere coincidence it’s incredible to see the approach the greatest minds in science history took in order to make certain discoveries.

The mistake here is triangle is not simplest polygon, it’s the only polygon in nature. Everything apart of it is consistent of triangles because its shape allows structures to self fractalize with a one simple constant of each point of pressure being on opposite to other two. Such superposition provides the principle of least energy at its best.

People are saying this is a coincidence, but is it really though? Mass dictates how stable planetary orbits are and more massive planets have a higher chance of losing stability if their orbits are smaller--as they are closer to the sun and as there are likely more objects orbitting closer to the sun.

Circles encompass more area when drawn within geometry that have more sides--and when consecutively drawn within shapes of increasing numbers of sides, the distance between circles grow smaller and smaller; and this reflects the reality that there are more objects closer to the center of a system.

inscribed geometries can be used to define any point in space with the right combinations of geometries, it's a cool way to depict their spacing, at the time, sacred geometry was a big deal, and remember that the cult of Pythagoras and their insights into geometry even today have massive impact in how we contextualize the overlap between math and science

Notice how the logarithm of the radius from the Sun of each one of the satellites falls in a straight line! They are logarithmically related!!!
