Though they are in less than desirable condition, I obtained that Amazing Stories edition and Spiderman #1 when I was 12 years old.
I'm 70 today and I still have them both.
God bless Sir Stan Lee!

Man, he did speeches at collages for roughly 54 years! He thus first hand seen where the target audience was coming from. Second, he was able to promote the characters. He must have done several hundred of these collage speeches. Wonder how many were recorded or more, filmed like this.

I'm crying. He was an amazing man. An inspiration. I made a presentation on him in class in October last year and he died one month after. I was... destroyed. But seeing records of him like this one give me hope and relief to know I can continue to hear and see this super hero. He's what I want to be, someone happy and good with a beautiful soul and an endless imagination

The saddest thing is that this only has 200K views. This is the most motivational speech out there and everyone should listen to it. I come back here to listen to stan once a while whenever i feel lost and lose confidence in my drawing skills, and this always gets me back. Thanks stan :)

People say the saddest thing is that he never got to see Endgame. But the most saddest of all is that he isn’t here to be able to see how much hype Spider-Man is getting at the moment with No Way Home

"I spend quite a lot of time writing a 25 page speech that I could give you, and as I looked at it I said, "Would I wanna hear this speech?" So I tore it up"

The whole thing is great, but that alone speaks volumes. It's so vulnerable, disarming and welcoming. Puts the audience in exactly the right position to hear a good speech (or anecdote, as they say). Beautifully considerate.

I am a huge Anime, Manga, and Light Novel Fan,

And I am an aspiring author and artist for my own original stories for my own original Manga and Light Novel Series.

However, I am a bit discouraged because most manga and light novel series have those 3 abominations - ecchi, harem, and the damn h-word related stuff and concepts - in their respective works, and I am very and truly worried that I should do that in my own works for me to get into the industry and business, even though I am truly against that idea and just wanted good storytelling and a compelling character development.

But after watching this inspirational video from the late and great Stan Lee,

I applied my own personal, philosophical, and wise words and beliefs, and I made this quote for myself and for any aspiring authors of their own respective manga and light novel series as a source of inspiration and motivation,

"If you have an idea, or a concept, or a story and character that you genuinely think is very good even though it does not have any of those 3 damn things, don't let idiots talk you out of it.

As long as you had developed your skills in storytelling and character development and had improved your creative writing skills and art skills professionally, then you will get into the business, even though you don't have those 3 damn things in your own works."

Excelsior!!!

And
Anime is Forever!!!

🙂♥️👍🏻👍🏻
