Thanks for the video, David. To be honest, I have always been kind of wishy washy about the CCIE, but I have to admit that this is making me rethink a few things.

I love the Cisco REV UP program. Have my CCNP (ent-core and advnanced implementing). My CCNP I started in 2011 after a CCNA in 2008, is now paid for with learning credits. I would rather take a new class than be tested on things I already know.

What if i have already CCIE in any major, and want to re-certify? Should i pass Lab again -or should i pass a new Core exam again?

Hi David, base from your discussion:
If a candidate has an actvie ccnp cert and will expire let say jan 2021..If he take ccnp tshot 300-135 this jan 2020, it will not renew his eligibilty to take ccie lab until jan 2023? Only switch or route can renew the encore?

Thanks for this David. One thing I am trying to understand is what happens to my current CCNP. If I renew my CCNA, CCDA, CCNP and CCDP now with a CCNP Route exam for example, then what is my certification holding as of February next year? Will one similar level exam always renew the others and below as like before?
