Very nice, and very exciting to see and hear a piston engine DC.3 working again. Here in Colombia, DC-3s are still being used commercially since there is NO replacement. Beautiful, reliable, tough and so nice.

Is the C-47 headed to Europe for the D-Day celebrations?

love the video. The P&W"s sound so throatey, whereas the CW's are kind of boney sounding. Sorry, just what my Pops used to say as he was Navy Air DC6 Flight Mechanic 52-56

Is this plane making it to Europe for the June 6 flight? And have you been following Plane Savers?

Are those the Wrights, or the more popular replacement P&W engines? Another question; I've got a clock from a C-47, presumably, (it was in my father's things, and that seemed to have been the most popular airplane to jump out of if you were in the Army in the '50's, ) would Mid States like to have it? I had it restored to working order, it needs a home and I can't think of a better place. I can deliver it the same way I delivered the poster, if you like.
