I just got a 32 oz of Heritage Store brand for 24.22 on Amazon with subscription. What a deal! I looked at all brands you talked about that I could find on Amazon, and Heritage was the best deal. Several comments on Mo’s said it was a plastic bottle, so even though that price was good, I opted to stay away from Mo’s.

The problem is that even the castor oils in small dark glass that were bottled in country so & so could simply be taken out of the big plastic bottles from anywhere in the world before selling it to us.. especially if the same company sells different sizes & big plastic bottles as well as small glass bottles 🥹 It is so difficult to find a brand where you know an organic cold pressed hexanfree castor oil really has never been packed in plastic during its way to us, it is such a quest 😳

This was very good information.. The fact that you revealed Queen of Thrones doesn't check all 4 boxes. I almost bought it because of all the hype but read for myself that it use to be cold pressed in the beginning but they changed they way it was processed, so I didn't buy it. .I use the Heritage Store brand and love it!!!

Hi Jackie. Just so you are aware, Jamacian Castor Oil has the beans roasted. The heat destroys the healing properties. It would still be good for conditioning hair. ❤

Hi Ms. Jackie, Thank you so much for retrieving such information because, in actuality, it is very much needed! Also, I sent you my information regarding the list for obtaining the top castor oils. I have two questions that I would like to ask for general knowledge regarding :

1) Which name-brand product of organic castor oil would you consider the best to use internally for detoxing occasionally, perhaps using in a smoothie?
The plain Castor Oils were definitely used for many decades throughout the seasons for joint pain, sickness, laxatives, and many other ailments as needed. During the winter months, I remember my mother would sometimes give us a heated spoonful to help eliminate colds and flues in case of, and I can honestly say, we were not sick children, and of course, after I had children of my own, I started giving my children occasionally during the winter months as well. And I can honestly say, they were not sick children as well and are very well today(they are grown now). So, ....by using the plain vs the organic, which is considered the best?

2) Organic Castor Oils (Shelf Life)?
Based on a brand that I had purchased and the results. (Which is also attached to your information contact file), ..

The first organic castor oil package I purchased was Queen of the Throne. I must admit, I didn't use it that first year because I was in school(accelerated program), and I believe I didn’t start using it until the middle of the second year which was kept away from a lot of light.

And, you are certainly correct. It is listed on the bottle as ‘’expeller processed" which I didn’t notice or understand the importance at that time. Because I was looking for a good product that would offer good results. In the beginning, I could see some positive changes but midway through the continued application, the results were no longer noticeable as before.

What I believe that might have occurred, is the possibility that each time the cap or top was removed for application, perhaps, the original potency was no longer maintained at its full potential, due to the possibility of going through the process of oxidation or(?). So, .. I checked for the expiration date on the bottle, but I didn't see a date at all. And the two(2)t bottles results didn't last as long as I assume it would.

So, I would like to ask some questions in regards just for clarification:
. What is the normal shelf life for organic castor oils when purchased?
, Are expiration dates imprinted on the bottles or included in the package once received?
. If not, how would the customer know when the product was received by the supplier, and
. once the package has been shipped to the customer, how would a customer determine if that bottle has expired or not?

I believe all customers should be aware of along with the product contents as well. Thanks, A bunch!!!

I would never store my oils in a bathroom because it's too warm . The bathroom in our house is the warmest room. I keep mine in the bedroom which us the coolest room in the house.

I purchased the Heritage Store brand last Tuesday from Wholefoods for $21.99, (32 oz. bottle.) It ticked all of the boxes for me. In addition, I wanted to take some internally, so I made sure Hetitage Store brand was safe to take that way, and yes it is. I took 3 1/2 tablespoons in my homemade pineapple orange juice just now. We shall see how it works...😊
