How To Make A Food Plot For Deer Successfully (UPDATE)
Deer food plots do not have to be hard. Lots of people like to over complicate them and reinvent the wheel. Food plots for deer are a powerful way to attract and hold deer for longer periods of time.

Great looking plot. I have bombshell and hot chic for planting this fall. I just recently purchased a groundhog max to work my plots. The plots are remote and barely accessible with my atv. They are being cut now, soil tested and amended to the best of my ability till spring green up. My question is if I grow a summer cover crop of buckwheat or clover do I disk it in 1st then broadcast seed or seed into standing crop then disc?

Just looked up the price tag on the Firminator and I guess that's why no til is taking off. I just got my own hunting property but have done food plots the last 4 years on my buddies and will continue to do those and hunt there too but when looking at equipment options for doing them the way we do at his place I don't have funds for it. I may pay somebody to mulch and til so I can spread seed the first few years. My question is with you having last years crop plowed under and adding nutrients is that enough or do you still need to add some fertilizer? Looking forward to more vids.

You can broadcast a little wheat in mid April. 25 40 lbs a acre. As soon as a stem forms mow it. Turkeys love it to. Nwtf chapter president gave me that tip

Great info. I’m in east central Mississippi and can’t ever get my turnips or radishes to mature and have the big or any bulbs like you have in your plot, so I don’t have anything to rot for next year. I plant in middle to late September. Should I plant earlier? If so when. Thanks for the video.
