the real "trust the process" team. didn't fire their coach even after some tough loses. kept patient with MPJ and Murray's injury. it all paid off in the end with the championship.

You can subjectively say that Denver simultaneously built another good team in the Utah Jazz with those Donovan Mitchell and Gobert trades

As a nuggets fan, I know how hard it must’ve been as Blazers fans to make this. That rivalry the last few years got intense. Credit you guys for putting together a great video going back over the years for this team, truly fulfilling.

I think the nuggets will win 2 more championships out of the next 5. So by the time Jokic's current contract is done, they will have 3.

At the end of the day, super teams will always have their their time in the sun, sometimes having overwhelming talent IS enough to win a chip. But the Nuggets win is a nice symbol for those teams that have a hard time attracting big names, and have to hope on drafting well, getting good people in the organization, player development and so on. Congrats, Denver!

Aaron Gordons growth on defense was the cornerstone to this champiobship run. He locked up dudes who were supposed to be impossible to lock up.

Whether ANT, KAT, Book, KD, Lebron, Butler - an absolutely killers row of offensive talent - AG locked them up. I know people love excuses like injuries or fit or whatever but their stats while defended by AG are night and day compared to anyone else.

AG was arguably the second or third most important piece on this championship run, just depends on how much you value defense.

Lol this is fascinating to see my Nuggets from a Portland perspective. I won’t say that I knew last summer that we’d win the title this year, but I definitely thought we had a shot when we FINALLY got the 3&D guys we’ve needed for years. But nobody had any idea what Jamal/MPJ would look like until early January (including them). That’s when I knew.

As for dynasty, I completely agree with guys. Back-to-back is absolutely on the table, especially if Bruce comes back. Then see where we go from there.

I just finished finals in my freshman year of high school yesterday and this is a great way to start off summer!

Agree 100%. There’s a Wild West out there so repeating will not be so easy. The only recent repeaters are the 2018 & 2019 championships. But I think at least they will take one more.

Great video. They had tough climb to the summit, no short cuts like Stockton said ' You have to climb the mountain to reach the top not go by chopper' and Nuggets did it with team building. They have to keep playing well this season and stay healthy they will be unbeatable.

Gary Harris was only averaging 10 his last year in denver and he averaged 12 the year before that trading him for Gordon was always the right move

I was in 7th grade and for some reason I made a nuggets fan page on Instagram and I wasn’t even a nuggets fan. Glad to see it paid off for me almost 8 years later 😂

Meanwhile the Mavs strategy with building a team around Luka: year by year just trade every key piece away and hope to get a superstar in return because Cuban doesn't believe in utilizing the draft unless he's forced to.

I've been saying since the bubble that murray is a dog. The last 2 years I kept saying they don't have murray. Knew we'd beat the wolves. Initially had nerves about Phoenix, but as soon as I saw murray hyping the crowd up in game one, yelling we waited for this, I knew it was our year. Even after Phoenix tied the series 2-2 a friend was talking shit and I told him booker and kd aren't hitting 80% every game. This is the most organic championship team I think I've ever seen

Vid is so good, the contest, the way you complement each other, like Nuggtes best duo, really good work guys, very refreshing

As a Warrior fan; it's nice to see Coach Malone win a ring. And they kept and believed in him when the organization could've fired him

I just think that Joker makes all players play harder and commit to their roles. If your best player is the most humble and unselfish dude ever, other players have no excuse to start acting up.

Millsap seems a "meet salary floor/give a vet a payday".

They just dumped Gallinari... so that leaves Jokic on a second round contract and Murray on a rookie contract - similar to Lou Dortz's deal in OKC (except "loyalty" instead of "experience").

Millsap was "prototype AG" - especially if you saw him in Utah...

You see his contract and kinda expect "20/10 team leader" - but his experience and "stretch big" game with solid NBA PF body made him really valuable to them.

Replace him with a prime version and you have more of the "lob/dunk" threat AG is now
