About Ricardo Dias

Ricardo Dias is currently working as a senior software engineer, at SUSE Linux, in the Entreprise Storage Team, where his main task is to contribute to the upstream Ceph storage system project. He is also an Integrated Member at the NOVA LINCS laboratory, where he still colaborates in several research projects, and co-supervises a PhD student with Prof. João Lourenço.
He received his doctoral degree from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal, in 2013, under the supervision of Prof. João Lourenço, on the topic of Transactional Memory.
During his research career, he has published, and presented, several research papers in high ranked scientific conferences.

Kai is a Product Owner at SUSE, responsible for SUSE Linux Enterprise Storage.
Before joining SUSE Kai Wagner was an administrator and consultant at it-novum GmbH, a German Open Source minded consulting company.
Kai has been working on Windows & Linux, Virtualization, High Availability, Storage and Networking. He's also one of the founders of the openATTIC project which turned from a pure storage management platform to a Ceph cluster and monitoring interface. If he's not working all day long he really enjoys doing some sports and to play with his kids.

Ricardo Marques has been working for SUSE since 2017, where he started as a contributor of the openATTIC project and is currently contributing to the Ceph Manager Dashboard plugin, applying his experience and passion for web development.
Before joining SUSE, Ricardo has completed his BSc in computer science, and worked on web development for 10 years, using Java related technologies.
