How to Grow JACKFRUITS Trees from seeds🌱 || A girl with a garden

Hello I'm Javeness " A GIRL WITH A GARDEN and here are 4 Tips to germinate Jackfruit Seeds
Tip 1. Use fresh seeds right from the fruit.
Tip 2. Geminate your seeds with the "Wet paper towel and Ziplock bag method"
Tip 3. When your seeds starts to turn a little green and shoots out a little sprout, plant it in well draining soil and water it to keep the soil moist.
Tip 4. If starting off in a potting container be sure to keep the container on a concert surface otherwise the roots will grow out of the bottom of the plant and into the soil below.

Thank you for the advice!! My mom and I got a jackfruit from a family friend and we were removing the edible parts and saving the seeds. We started doing your wet paper towel in ziplock bag method, so hopefully they will germinate in a few days and we can start planting them in a pot.

I tried Jackfruit first time today and it has a crazy sweet flavour. To me it was like cantaloupe and pineapple blend. I noticed the seeds seem to almost have veins in them and the seeds you show are full brown. Idk if they'll grow but gonna give it shot. Thanx for germination tip.

I followed this and my seeds have started to sprout with little roots growing from the sprout! I’m super excited! But I live in Pennsylvania, where the weather isn’t constantly above 80degrees. I’m just hoping my seedlings can grow nicely 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I just put the seeds in a Ziploc bag with paper towel! First plant that I'm germinating lol I like this fruit that much. Hopefully black thumb to green thumb happens lol

Hi, thanks for the video! I'm surprised (but happy) to hear that you're successfully growing jackfruit in zone 9! Any tips on how to get them through the winter? I'm in 9a, north-central Florida, but I've been told they won't make it through even a slight freeze here. Also how long did you keep yours in a pot? I'm wondering if I can plant it in a deep enough pot and bring it inside through the first winter, then put it in the ground. Oh and last question, did you take the seeds out of their little sac before you geminated them? Thank you!
