Miss Metz is a beautiful young woman and although it’s true
that her weight may negatively affect her health as she gets older, right now
she is sending a powerful and relevant message to every woman who is anxious
about their own weight. I personally struggled a lifetime to weigh less at the
expense of being out there, living my life, looking for love, feeling like I
was just as good as everyone else. An individual who does not have this problem
(and society still continues to make it a problem) can never truly understand
how difficult it is to both lose and maintain weight loss.  It’s so much more important to stress that
who you are inside is what shapes you as a human being and not what a scale
reads. It would have been another terrific element to this wonderful TV show if
we could all follow her character as she lost weight but the message of pride
and courage she’s sending in her career is just as wonderful! You go girl!

Having been over 300 lbs myself I have wondered where she gets the energy from & how she can do those long hours of acting work. How does she even get around at all? I would think with her income & insurance that they would be helping her every way possible to get her healthy & thinner. Great that she has self confidence but she also needs health.
