Did you know these commands? I have videos on my channel showing this in more detail (including copying the details).

Just to clarify, that‘s to see the ones you are already connect to… not random new ones 😊

If someone is on your command line, you have way bigger problems to worry about than your Wi-Fi password. They're already on your system and your network.

This is like breaking into someones house to steal their house keys.

If a hacker had acces to my computer's command line, I'd have far bigger problems than the wifi password.

For anyone curious, the "pipe" | keyword is used to redirect the output of a command into something else, like a text file or in this case another command.

Yes, that's true. I used those commands back in college where they had super-fast internet, but it was only for the teachers. During a break, I asked a teacher if I could use their computer for a short while. I ran the commands, and that's how I managed to access the teacher's unrestricted internet. 😂😂

Those uninitiated might think that the commands can grab the PSK from ANY Wi-Fi network in the range that the Wi-Fi interface "is seeing" right now. These are only the networks that the computer has connected to in the past and has the credentials saved. Just to be clear :)

Very useful! I'm always forgetting my wifi passwords and sometimes need to access them to set up new devices. Thank you.

It's important to know that this only extracts the saved passwords. And with sufficient privileges you can extract anything. That would be like saying that someone inside your house can steal your microwave.

The paswords are just the saved ones that YOU had to type in on YOUR machine to connect to whatever wifi access points that required a pssword. its literally where your computer looks when it needs to connect to an already established access point. And for those of you saying "ohhh once someone has your wifi password youre compromised. Like no, just change it, just change the whole network name whike youre at it. If youre really at the point that someone has backdoored your machine and os offloading info to their own server, then you have much bigger issues.

A minute of silence for anyone who think this command can get you password from random available wifi around you.

I mean if some hacker got into your computer, and got admin privileges (required for the commands), you have bigger things to worry about than getting your WiFi password stolen.

*Missing part of the instructions:* To actually get the KEYS, the whole command must be done in a command window opened with that computer's *Administrator privileges.*

If a bad actor has physical access to your PC them grabbing stored wifi passwords is the least of your worries lmao.

This will actually be super handy. I often visit customers places and they don't know the password. Going to load this into a batch file tomorrow. Might even share the code as a reply here if I remember
