the problem with this truck is it already does wheelies like crazy. So you don't want to go pudding too thick of an oil in there because you might as well just left it locked at that point. Obviously the oil is still better than being locked but as far as taming the vehicle itself that's why I choose the 300 K. Some people have done the 500 in these but I myself have chose 300 because I didn't want it to wheelie as much and it's actually perfect right now as far as control on the Wii Lee. I can control it on my own and wheelie on command and that's kind of what I wanted whereas before it would do it whenever it felt like it or when I throttle too hard

Hey I have the redcat TR-MT8E sames as yours and a new TRMT8EBE6S. On my old one I've never had ant problems with the center diff. But the 6s is killing me the 2nt time out just driving it in a parking lot the center diff went. I have one on the way . I'm hoping I just got a defective center deaf. But do you recommend me upgrading my old one to the metal death or leave the plastic geared diff and it? Please help red cat has not been much help

Did you use the shim against the bearing race when you installed the diff? Didn't see it when you put it in.

is there a right/wrong way to install the diff? I'm ordering the truck/diff sight unseen. Just curious if the orientation of the diff matters since this truck is essentially a direct - drive vehicle.

Just did mine yesterday, and never even driven it with the stock setup. The manual shows you an exploded view but it's a bit off. Only one washer goes on each side of the spider gears.

What do you recommend, the TR-MT8E or one of its competitors? The ARRMA Kraton, Thunder Tiger MT4 G3, HPI Savage Flux, and Traxxas E-Revo. Or even one completely different than those? I currently own the 1/16 E-Revo VXL but I want to go bigger and faster and stick with brushless and 4x4. I also really like the looks of the new Traxxas Stability Control. What do you think? I need your help!!!

Thanks homie for your videos I know this an old video for u but it help me do mines also I got a hobby wing heatsink with fan could I just tap into the front headlights instead of running a long wire to the receiver box since the led is not pushing alot of current

Thanks for making this video, really helped me assemble mine. I installed a Hobbywing Max 8 2200kv combo and now run it on 6s with Zippy 3s 5000 20c lipos. Also installed the geared center diff with 500k oil and got the 47t CNC spur gear. Put a 15t pinion on but went back to the 14t as it was to fast to even reach top speed. This truck is awesome but on 6s its a whole other beast. I usually run a quarter to half throttle and run times have gone way up.

300k diff oil? I have always used 5k in the center diff on my Losi 8ight. Plan on getting this truck and was going to try using 10k oil.

is this thing durable? or does it break when the wind blows? I want an 1 8th scale electric. but idk bout redcat. I have a blackout xte. and its okay. but i know it won't hold up to a brushless system. so anyways. What if any issues have you had with this rig? it certainly looks good. but is it actually good?
