How does a AcuRite Wireless Weather Station look after 3 years?

This is the result. It's somehow still working. Temperature sensor works still the same (way too high numbers) and rain gauge seems to be still quite accurate, but the mounting of the anemometer is rusty and slows down the speed numbers dramatically. Solar panel is completely dull and broken at the edges.

Mine is four years old, and has worked flawlessly (as long as the batteries in the Sensor unit haven't died). The only fix I've had to do so far is to buy the Remote Battery Unit, and install it. This fix is easy and eliminates having to go up on a roof, or climbing a ladder to replace batteries. Luckily I had 30' between my unit and the inside wall of my house, so I ran my modification into the house so I dn't even have to go outside to replace the batteries.
So far as accuracy mine isn't seriously off from National Weather Service. Rain gauge is accurate, but temperature id usually 2~3 degrees higher than NWS, which has a station at the Airport 3 miles away. It definitely is not professional grade, but for the money is very good for the average user.
The weathering issues depend on location and amount of Solar exposure. I live in Western Oregon, so the weathering of the outside housing isn't as severe as the one in this video, but like another person commented in here, coating it with a liquid car wax will prevent serious deterioration of the plastic. It's probably a good idea anyway since a once yearly check of the unit is advisable to clean out the leaf filter for the rain gauge, and to open the unit to clear out the cooties that collect inside over the year.

It is normal, I had another model and I was breaking the plastics with the sun and as much as I hit it it has no more repairs. To the solar panels, pass sandpaper and give them verniz good and ready, then disassemble and clean the sensors, there are Many spiders that nest and dirty.

Lol...mine's barely been up a year (ten months) and is already starting to turn discolored. LEAVE the Rain Gauge Grill ALONE...lol. If you can see it's obstructed, by all means take it off. I got MINE off, but it wasn't worth the trouble, and NEXT time, you will likely CRACK / BREAK it.  My Sensor Unit is still working fine, but the BLUE LIT display unit, oddly enough, it NOT being recognized by my computer (iMac), even though all the sensing information IS being properly reported. Weird. Trying to call them about that NOW.

Video would’ve been a lot better if you actually speak your opinion.
