What he doesn’t stress upon is changing gimmick/reinventing but not changing his core character which most modern wrestlers aside from like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan and kinda Seth Rollins just don’t understand and it’s why fans can’t engage 100% with them. Like Bray Wyatt for instance doing the supernatural hillbilly to the fiend to Firefly funhouse those are 3 completely different characters rather than extensions of one character. No matter what gimmick change he did Y2J was still Y2J.
