Gear Icon X 2018 Review - I'm Very Disappointed

After a bunch of requests I got the Samsung Gear Icon X, and I hated them. These were supposed to have all the features I wanted in truly wireless earbuds, great sound quality, great connectivity, touch controls that work pretty well, and USB-C; but they fall short for me in comfort and it's so bad that I just can't recommend them.

Forgot to mention the touch controls are just OK, they work most of the time but changing the volume often leads me to pause what I'm listening to and vice versa. Touch controls just aren't great with such a small touch area.

I've been using mine every day for the last few months at the gym and I love them! Super sad they didn't fit well for you. I have only had 1 or 2 times where the did not disconnect by putting them back in the case. Maybe you need to re-pair them. I can typically use them for a full week, 2 hours a day before I need to recharge them. Good video. Keep it up!

Just got my Icon X 2018 in today, paid 89 shipped. They sound incredible, lag free, zero issues connecting to my phone. I agree these are some of the best Wireless True Earbuds today!

I have them and they hurts a LOT. The biggest issue for me is the touch sensor they have to know when you put them on it's just so sensitive that lose the connection when you hear the music or talking to the phone too frustrating.

Just purchased myself a pair and I am excited for them to come in because I had alot of great success using the IconX 2017s. Fit in those were great and using in the gym they never fell out, sound quality was great, no connectivity, and paired with my Galaxy S8 they worked amazing. The only negative for me was the battery life. I would only get 1hr-1 1/2hrs before they needed a charge and I usually was not done my workout and had to finish with no music which was disappointing. The 2018s are suppose to have double the battery life, same great fit, better sound, and type-c charging. The earbuds will turn off on their own. Just read the manual it explains alot.

May seem obvious but they are kind of hidden in the package, did you know they come with different size fins which is the part that is hurting your ear? Maybe you have to move down a size?

If you put them back in the case, they will disconnect. Perhaps your case isn't clicking shut properly. Or maybe its battery is exhausted. That does result in the somewhat irritating issue you complained of - though it's not a big deal to keep it charged. Yes, they are rather big, but overall a terrific set of wireless earbuds with sparkling sound and an excellent set of features.

Alright guys help me out here, so I'm pretty torn between the Samsung Icon X 2018 and the Jabra Elite Active sport 65T (and might be even considering the Jabra Elite 65T). I've been hearing a bunch of bad things about the Samsung Icon X about how the touch is bad, or how the left earpiece would stop working and etc. which saddens me cause it has everything I'd want. So if you guys could maybe tell me which I should get and why it would help me out tons !!

A year is about all you'll get like most Samsung accessories, there is a reason why they give them away during promotions. After a year you'll see dramatic battery drain & constant disconnects. Just glad mine were free with my Note 9. Feel bad for anyone who paid asking.

The only negatives I've had with these earbuds is earwax getting into the headphones and the sound quality went to shit but I found a fix for it, they were uncomfortable but I got used to it because I used them for 5+ hrs a day. The earbuds turn off when you throw them in the case so connectivity was really good
