Honestly, I love how Beebs' character is written. He hits that sweet spot between cool headed leader and goofball older brother. He's kinda the anchor that allows for side hijinks but doesn't let them derail or detract from the plot.

Poor Scratch was so busy plugging the merch he forgot to look where he was steering his ship.

This episode was so good and this comment was absolutely plastered in explicatives to try and express how good it was but then John YouTube would've hid my comment and the world needs to know THAT I THINK THIS EPISODE WAS SO GOD DAMN FUCKING GOOD- WAIT

I just realized such a neat detail; Shrike's seat's headrest has many scratches and wear right where his head-crystal would drag against the seat. It's such an attentive detail that I hadn't thought about before!

Monkey Wrench probably has the most unique depiction of humans in any scifi series. The idea of humanity inadvertently causing a cataclysmic event so severe that its created a quarantine zone that covers almost a quarter of the galaxy, causing us being declared persona non grata and hunted by every other sapient species is incredibly interesting. I hope this is explored way more in future episodes.

I feel that Shrike's comment, "It's all I know!" about his reliance on violence is also the answer to Beeb's question, "Are we cut out for this?"

I especially love how much Beebs and Scritch seem to vibe in this episode. For all of Scratch's talk about their "brotherly bond", Beebs seems to perfectly understand him.

Poor Scritch. So intelligent, but never gets a word in edgewise.

What we know about the Humans: In episode one we see a wanted poster for Terrans wich seems to be the humans names in this universe. So L.A.W is hunting them for whatever terrible things they did

I like how this show has actual Adbreak cutaways now. Makes me feel like I'm watching an old cartoon when I was a child. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

One thing I realized is that during Scratch's flashback of encountering the Agari, both Us and Them (as well as a freeze-frame shot of their ship) appear to be infected by the Cataclysm, but neither of the three were infected before Them hit the cargo. This is likely due to Scratch's perception that _all_ Agari are infected, mindless drones of the Cataclysm warping that flashback.

The line "Call me Beebs, all my friends do, " is such an incredibly sweet line. Brought me damn near to tears, and I can rarely cry no matter how much I want to.

Earlier in the episode this was an eldritch, strange enemy assaulting a commrade, later shown to simply be a hurt and lost soul. Without addressing the topic directly, without even missing a beat, just by requesting how Us addresses him; he expresses complete forgiveness, understanding, and compassion.

This is an immaculate display of Beebs' character, and I'm definitely getting huge Iroh vibes from the guy. I cannot wait to see more of Beebs.

Beebs is so awesome. The dude keeps his cool and is very empathetic for a mercenary.
