HISTORY (for Buggin'):
Some would say HS82 "ripped off" or "copied" earlier artists to create Buggin'. But that's not quite right. House music very often remixes familiar tunes, and good remixes -- like this one -- vary something in the composition to make it familiar but different.

2000 - "It's Love" by Jill Scott (lyrics from this jazz piece are used in the Goldtrix tune appearing 2 years later)

2002 - "It's Love" by Goldtrix (marries Scott's lyrics to the basis for the Buggin' groove)

2018 - "Buggin" by HS82 (Revisions both Scott's lyrics and Goldtrix's beat)
