Will it launch in Aus. with that ground clearance? Does it have front and/or rear lockers? Please tell me it won't launch here with rear drum brakes. That rear departure angle is a worry. Also, is that the sound of any of the launch engine choices?

Need to refine the shape and get rid of those Also if you are going to have it sounding like that during these "Trial" videos you better make sure it sounds like that when you sell it! That sound alone, be it from a V8 or a Turbo V6 will sell this ute like no tomorrow! Aus consumers want a modern looking dual cab with some grunt behind it, why do you think the V8 79 cruisers do so well even though the interior and exterior styling still looks like it is from the 70's? Because they sound great and are work horses!

I own a Sorrento and my wife a Stonic, so by the time the Tasman gets here I will be due for a new vehicle. Hope the Tasman looks a whole lot better than the ugly duckling in the video and has a decent diesel donk under the bonnet for the Australian market. Kia, you have a chance now to make a real American Mussel Truck style Ute for Australia (and my next vehicle), don't spoil it, or you will launch a flop.
