He's (zx14) running good times but I believe he's leaving a lot on the table with his launch posture.

I was at a local eighth mile track and watched a fully built Suzuki Hayabusa with a stretched wheelbase do the sickest wheelie I've ever seen. It started to pick up around 80 feet out and by the time he was halfway down he was damn near vertical and never let out of it.

Running my stock wheel base Busa is the most fun I have had drag racing. I bought my first Busa new in 2000. By 2001 I was running 6.04 @ 121mph with stock arm and only engine mod was Yosh drop in cams!

With these two bikes comes down to the rider every single time. When it comes down to buying one it's all a matter of what bike you like better looks wise cuz they're basically even performance wise and comfort of course

These bikes are crazy fast! I have a 2nd gen Hayabusa. I've also had a 2nd gen ZX14. Both were fast as hell!

I had a stock busa when I was living in Germany. Gotta love the no speed limit Autobahn!

Rock on Busa, gotta love em. 2nd gen Moore Mafia tuned stretched Busa is definitely my all time favorite and most awesome bike to run around on the Blvd.
Always draws a crowd, simply put, it's an icon and will never go out of style!

ZX14 performs real well at the 1/4 mile run

Busa got a driver!! His reaction time is levels ahead of the 14 driver. However, the 14 driver almost ran him down. I bet if they switched bikes it would be a sec gap winner 14

Closely matched, it's the rider that makes the difference, but I miss my 1986 ninja 1000, back in the day it was one of the fastest machines on the road, but I'd be happy on either bike, can't afford it, I'm 62 and would love either bike.

I have been riding Hayabusas off and on since 1999 and it has always been the leader in my opinion.

Zx14r can't compete. You can't compete with the legendary hayabusa

Gotta love basically stock bikes stretched with a pipe and tune running eights. Owned both loved them both!

Busa's hole shots were killing him. The rider wins the race not the bikes

Out of the box, the ZX-14R is faster and smoother, but if you want a bike to compete at the drag strip, the Busa offers more potential and is a lot more service friendly.

Don’t believe me? Check out what Chris Moore has to say about it.

The ability to go big on a Busa motor, the ability to service the cylinder cases on the spot without having to tear the whole motor apart, the ability for the Busa motor to hold more power, ability to go bigger on a Busa motor, and better aftermarket support give the Busa a big edge for competition use.

Incidentally, I have each bike, so I have no real interest in bashing the Kawi since it’s faster and smoother from the factory.

You won't see any BMW's in races like this.
