Life has gotten more digital than ever before. And the plusses of that for the environment has been clear…as in clear skies and clean air. What is not so clear however is this: when it comes to greenhouse gases, the Internet is responsible for 2% of global emissions. If the Internet were a country, it would be ranked as the sixth largest polluter in the world.

But the Internet is here to stay, so what can be done to make it greener? From individuals not hitting Reply All on emails or turning off Auto Play for videos, to data centres running on green energy and search engines giving back to the environment, host Prerna Pant looks at all the various ways we are Greening The ‘Net.

Mind boggling different perspective of internet usage. But globalization and data sharing is so unavoidable in today's world as we move to more and more sophisticated technology.
Great content. Keep making videos on more such intresting topics. 😛🔥

Compare to buying books, DVDs, newspapers, magazines, photo albums to access information, sending physical mails, making telephone calls, getting dedicated video conferencing system, Internet has saved tremendous amount of energy while connecting everyone rich or poor.

Wow, when I was a kid we had a black and white T. V. We had seven T. V. stations. Then in 1967 we were the first to get a color T. V. and I got a transistor radio. Now we are in the Jetsons age.

Where is game industry? Everytime someone buy a game they still need to update with gigs of data before able to play, and occasionally need to download gigs of updates. Also smartphone industry, where every year new android version was introduced and new smartphone model were introduced, also app industry where every weeks you will need to update your app and growing size of the app. I believe these have much more waste in comparison.
