Serious comment: 1) Dental/oral health is so important in relation to diet and gut biome health. I neglected my teeth in my adolescence/teens (no lifelong damage) but since adopting a consistent brushing/flossing/rinsing routine, it has helped my food cravings, dieting and relieved a lot of stomach pains for me. Very important.

2) Learning a musical instrument. Great for tapping into the beauty of sound that electronic music cant replicate. Even if its just singing to oneself.

3) Competitive sport. Great for building friendships and establishing natural and benevolent hierarchy among men (and women). Exercise is very important, but also being able to use one's body to accomplish a task or compete.

4) Reading. Many people in todays age have not read a book in the last year (5 years maybe). Most complex topics and ideas can only be conveyed and explained in long form texts.

5) Advertisement and propaganda avoidance. I feel like this is a topic many dont touch on but i know you have, if only briefly. Everything in today's modern media paradigm is a form of A war on one's mind. Every flash of light of the tv leaves an impact on us (albeit minuscule). Remove the influence of these evildoers and dont let them pollute our minds.

God Bless

Good video but that goes without saying whenever you make a video in general. The point about wasting time playing videogames is a big one. I personally believe spending time with your hobbies is fine if you do fulfilling things each day, in my top 2 games on Steam I've spent more than 5000 hours playing those games and I sometimes think how different my life would be right now if I spent even a quarter of that time doing things like exercise, reading, learning a new language etc. I'm still a gamer but I have reduced my game-time significantly and it has helped me significantly.

Many blessings to you Jay. I've been watching your content for a while (one of your woman followers :) which has made me seek out God and orthodoxy. I have now found and been attending an orthodox church near me for the past couple of months. I'm sure many others have been led to orthodoxy because of you. Thank you for all that you do.

Self help stuff is pretty common sense but I will say that watching these types of videos can give you motivation (short lived usually, but motivation none the less) to change things. They are helpful at motivating me to try harder for a day lol, but that's a day that I made use of which wouldn't have happened had I not been motivated by someone's self help vid lol.

Great list! The sports ball one is incredibly interesting to me bc I’ve always been a big sports guy. You know living in TN(I live in GA), college football is damn near a religion. Entire Saturday’s are spent at the game or in front of the TV. It is imbedded in southern culture.

Last year it finally started to dawn on me that it might be a little weird to put so much emphasis on sports. I was actually at a UGA game and had a “WTF” moment where I started looking around me at all the grown men screaming and getting excited and doing the specific cheers that each school does. I actually freaked out and had to leave bc I was convicted about how childish and stupid this all was.

Great video, Jay

I agree with all of these. My biggest positive habits are lifting consistently, reading consistently, praying and teaching my son to pray on a daily basis, eating meals as a family (huge), and I know this one sounds odd, but having consistent relations with your wife. As the marriage goes on it's easy to let to the love atrophy and to get into a rhythm, but you need to fight this. Go on dates as often as possible and make a concerted effort to be intimate as often as possible.

Yo if anyone is struggling with getting off of soda, try Zevia, its literally the best soda alternative, tastes good, and uses Stevia as the sweetener.

dude i listened to you on Ground Zero not long ago, then my mate refers me to you after taking interest in orthodoxy. Talk about a synchronicity. I'm thankful for finding you, and as well as my friend.

When it comes to vices I managed to quit alcohol 5 years ago with little to no problem. Cooming however is a completely different beast to which I relapse every 2-3 weeks.

And when it comes to time sinkers I enjoy video games but for 4 years they were never the majority of my time wasting. That crown goes to youtube.

I’m also on a carnivore diet and I need to be on it to feel normal at all. How do you go about fasting?

👏👏👏 This is life saving information! I had to go carnivore to help a bunch of ailments caused by poison "food". More truth from Jay. Gracias.

Great tips! By the time I was 12 I already has what I see know were income streams. It was very natural for me as a kid, to not like being broke, and not want my parents to give me money. I was self employed 98% of my life, and loved what I did every day. Oh, and I gave up ALL tv about 40+ years ago, and have a cultivated personal library of well over 500 significant books.
