We’ve found THE BEST way to SAIL the Mediterranean [EP 149]

Показать описание
After wrapping up our sail in Turkey with Kraken, we head to the factory to see how one of the boats are actually made (video to be released soon!)

With only a few days left of our time in Turkey, we then head to the centre of Istanbul and try and immerse ourselves into a bit of sightseeing, history and culture!

The day finally comes though when we have to leave... so we hop back on a plane and head to the Azores where little Millie is waiting patiently for us...

On our way back however, we received an exciting offer that we just couldn't say no to.

Drone Credits
As Turkey is a mammoth city, it will come as no surprise that flying a drone over it is highly illegal. So luckily, someone did that for us! With the use of Storyblocks for stock footage we managed to get some great drone footage with no risk to us! (we like that)

While working at my desk I've watched/listened to four of your joyful vids! thanks for the cheery, sailing narration. What are the odds you'd come across another Mellenial Falcon yacht!

Love how you always clarify "4am in the morning" helps us know which am you're referring to.😄

Renaldo is Portuguese. From Madeira actually.
Great to see how they build these boats 🛶
Istanbul. Been living there for three month in august 1977. That was a memorable trip.
There’s an island outside the Bosphorus an half an hours trip by ferry from Caducei. Bucada or something. Just horse carriages. Old wooden houses. Have to go there again someday.
Stay Safe. Fair Winds. Roll on 🙏

Would love to see the Kraken build videos when you can get them up. Nice series through all with Dick... invaluable to those of us contemplating an eventual life-change! Thanks!

It took me almost 24hrs to binge your whole channel. Man!! I wish I was 20 years younger, I think I would have done now what you’re doing. Keep up the fantastic attitude, drive, friendliness, openness, oh! I could list 100 things you’re doing right. Just keep on as you are. I’m going to sleep now😔. Love you guys, Ciao!

Was getting so jealous watching this. I first went to Turkey in 2000. Originally planned to stay for 2 weeks. 3 months later, I sadly left swearing I would be back soon. ("Soon" turned out to be 12 years later, but some of the locals still remembered me!)
By the time I left, my "Merhaba, nasılsın?" was so good I was getting into trouble because the locals thought I was joking when I told them I wasn't Turkish... and they wouldn't believe my Turkish friend actually was!

When you two get back to Millie, she’ll need a hull scraping she’s been sitting so long! May your Med sail be glorious!

As a life long sailor it amazes me how Turkey has become such a big player in the yacht building world. Low overheads and an affordable workforce I can understand but with big names such a Nordavn going there, they must be doing something right?

This the kind of video that had me hooked on your channel. I have a minor interest in sailing. I subscribe for your personalities and sights from your travels. I will never sail but I enjoy watching you explore the world. I maybe in the majority on that.
