Dear Miss Hazel,

I know I'm not an official student of yours, but I want to thank you so much for the wonderful and helpful service that you are doing for students worldwide as this helps a lot. I started watching your educational and helpful videos from the start of my Edexcel IGCSE 2024 May/June Exams and I've got to say that it really helps me do well for the paper. Your methods of teaching especially the predictions and the last-minute tips for Biology, Chemistry and physics were really Helpful, and I wanted to thank you Miss Hazel once again and I hope you will continue to do so even better in the future to put students towards the right path for their academic success.

Thank you, Miss Hazel!

With regards,
Yulan Jayawardena (from Sri Lanka).

Hi Hazel, the exam (international GCSE) went pretty good, thanks to your videos, including this one and your all-in-one. However, there was this momentum question whose final answer I couldn't get. the diagram was as follows-
BEFORE COLLISION:
small ball 'A': m = 0.018 kg, v = 4.9 m/s
big ball 'B' = 0.265 kg, stationery.

AFTER COLLISION:
small ball 'A': v = 3.5 m/s
Using the diagram, show that the velocity of ball 'B' is 0.6 m/s.
no matter how I calculated, I got "0.268...".
(I'm pretty sure I'd be getting the step marks).

How come you add the momentums in the last question if it’s supposed to be the change? Wouldn’t it be 2.5

mariachristodoulou

for the last question, if it's change in momentum aren't you meant to subtract the momentums and not add?

I have a small doubt in the last question of the video 12:11
Why do you add the two momentum when you calculate the change in momentum?

Hello hazel ive got a question at 5:01 it states it was cooled
Doesnt that mean you have to subtract the 11.1 from the initial temperature? Instead of adding it like you did

why is the change in momentum them both added up? i thought it would be the difference, thanks smm literally saving our exams

12:09 shouldn’t the 4.2 be negative since it’s moving to the left?
