Here in southern Mexico my uncle had a land filled with bamboo, which he wanted to put on a truck and sell it for a high price farther north. We used extremely sharpened machetes to cut the bamboo, and we would still struggle if the technique wasn't proper and the bamboo was thick enough.

Any animal who has the bite force to effortlessly chew on that should scare you.
