George Lynch is a phenomenal guitarist and the 80's are known for killer solos ...

"Its not love" and "In my dreams" are well worth checking out. Y'all are missing it with George Lynch, but that's ok. He's bringing the heat to toughen the sound up a bit. ;)

“Dream Warriors” is the actual song they recorded for Nightmare on Elmstreet 3. It’s actually a cool song, too. Give it a listen!

In 1984 I was seventeen. Randy Rhoads died a couple years earlier tragically. Eddie van Halen, Randy Rhoads and George Lynch are the reasons I started playing the guitar. I was one year into learning when this came out. Watched them live like ten times. Love them. Thx for reacting.

Dokken was my jam in the 80’s. Alone again and In My Dreams are solid. I LOVED George Lynch as a small town, country girl. I would save my money to buy Metal Edge magazine just to put his picture in my walls.

I saw Dokken on this tour "Tooth, and Nail" open for Ronnie James Dio back in Nov. of 84. What an awesome concert that was!! Dokken are one of my all time favorite Rock/Metal Bands. I've seen them many times in concert since back in the day. Thanks for this Great reaction Vid!

So glad they gave Dokken another chance! They are so good!

An instrumental show-off song for Lynch would be Dokken's "My. Scary". A good song you might like from Lynch Mob (George Lynch's own band) is "Wicked Sensation".

Love the love for Dokken and Ratt. They are the musically superior hair bands. And so many great tunes! 🤘

A heavier tune from Dokken is “Lighting strikes again”. Just a killer and solid song

Maannnn George lynch is underrated for that Era. He is definitely GOATED. He was supposed to be Ozzy Osbournes guitar player after Randy Rhodes died but some management politics didn't make it happen. But yea dokken has some great songs! They're just cool man.

Fun fact on George Lynch. He's great friends with Warren De Martini from Ratt and Jake E Lee from Ozzy/Badlands. George left Dokken after Breaking the chains to tour with Ozzy and was told he was getting the gig for Ozzy. This was to happen when Brad Gillis was going to leave to do Night Ranger full time. Backing up, George taught guitar and Randy Rhodes school and one of his students was Warren. Later, Warren got much better obviously, he helped George work out the parts and learn all of Randy Rhodes parts to join Ozzy. At that time, Warren actually joined Dokken after George left. Meanwhile, the band "Mickey Ratt" had Jake E. Lee playing guitar for them. Well, George at the time had cut his hair and died it half black and white and Ozzy and Sharon didn't like his look. They were really into "the look" for a guitarist. Ozzy had more auditions, Jake came to one and Ozzy gave the gig to Jake over George and Jake believes it was over looks because he says his audition was not his very best because he was nervous because it was Ozzy. So he joins Ozzy and calls Jake about the gig in "Mickey Ratt" and he joins what became Ratt. George went back to Dokken. The rest is history. Also, Don Dokken, he is plugged in to everyone in Hollywood. Don knows everyone and has produced several bands and done behind the scenes backing vocals and production for so many bands, ex, XYZ, Scorpions, etc. What a time the LA sunset strip was back in the 80-90's...

Dokken's song "Breaking The Chains" is a classic. The guitar solo is beautiful and totally appropriate for the song. Gorgeous, rocking song!

Ryan & George, Gene Simmons of KISS went to a club in L.A. to see a band called The Boyz which had Lynch on guitar. The opening band was Van Halen. After Simmons saw Van Halen he left the club and never saw Lynch's band. Simmons helped VH put together their demo tape which got them on the road to stardom. IMO Lynch always had a chip on his shoulder after that incident and to show people he was a capable guitarist would sometimes go overboard to prove to people he had the chops. To his credit he does have a recognizable style that set him apart from most of the L.A. based EVH wannabes. I think you guys would like his band he formed after Dokken called Lynch Mob a lot more. It's bluesier & grooves hard and his solo playing is fantastic. Check out Lynch Mob album Wicked Sensation. That whole album rocks.

Tooth and Nail is one the greatest albums of all-time, across all genres. A metal masterpiece, from start to finish.

What a lot of people don't realize is that when this song came out they were an opening act, not seasoned headliners. I saw them open for Triumph on March 1st, 1985 in San Diego. They had so few songs in their catalog that they played this song twice. They were phenomenal live back then.

My personal favorite is Night by Night by these guys!! Ratt and Dokken are neck and neck as far as 80’s metal are concerned!!

Man, I transported back in time just now back to 1984 hearing this for the first time, I just started playing guitar and that solo/song was just amazing, When it was just magic coming out of the speakers, “George Lynch is a fantastic player.
