Avatar's Pandora is the wildest, most beautiful and most deadly place in the galaxy. I mean, who wouldn't want to live here? But how could the air be lethal? What elements could make your body glow? How could a gas giant destroy Pandora's surface? What is tidal heating? Why wouldn't you be able to watch Netflix?

What I love what James Cameron did with Avatar is he didn’t just make up some random planet, call it some goofy name and call it quits.

Don’t get me wrong, Star Wars will always be my favorite franchise, but the planets and ecosystems are just whatever. They are used for the settings and environment, world building I get it, but other than that they’re mainly used as set pieces. Not to mention that each planet is like one particular environment. (Snow planet, sand planet, city planet etc..)

Pandora actually feels like a real, living planet. The biology of each creature, each plant, tree, organism all seem grounded in reality. It’s one planet and almost feels vastly more epic, far more detailed, more alive and more real than anything we’ve seen in a sci-fi franchise.

The level of immersion is beyond incredible and breathtaking! Regardless whether you like the story or not, you can’t deny that Avatar and Pandora is FUN to witness and take in! It’s the most incredible fantasy world we’ve seen on the big screen. Many will disagree, and believe me, I’m a self-proclaimed pop culture nerd. Love all the other sagas and franchises.

Pandora is just a tad above the rest IMO and we’re only 2 movies in. I can’t wait to see where we go in the sequels.

The Avatar Universe is extremely fascinating.

Tidal heating is good for a moon. If it ain't too strong, and a moon can have its own magnetosphere so it be safe to live on and life would thrive

You can't compare all planets in the universe to our planets and moons behavior. Our solar system is the exception not the standard.

Even the mere presence of a gas giant in orbit around either Alpha Centauri A or B is a very unlikely prospect, considering the two stars are close enough to each other that most of the material that could've formed one would've been flung far enough to start orbiting both at the same time, in a region about as frigid as the Kuiper Belt.

Please make more content about avatar. Like, what if humans were like navi that we could connect to our animals' brain

"You are not in Kansas anymore. You are on Pandora, ladies and gentlemen. Respect that fact every second of every day. If there is a Hell, you might wanna go there for some R & R after a tour on Pandora. Out there beyond that fence every living thing that crawls, flies, or squats in the mud wants to kill you and eat your eyes for jujubes. We have indigenous population of humanoids called the Na'vi. They're fond of arrows dipped in a neurotoxin that will stop your heart in one minute - and they have bones reinforced with naturally occuring carbon fiber. They are very hard to kill. As head of security, it is my job to keep you alive. I will not succeed. Not with all of you. If you wish to survive, you need to cultivate a strong, mental aptitude. You got to obey the rules: Pandora rules." -- Col. Quaritch

I think you forgot about “Unobtanium - can float due to its magnetic properties, extremely strong magnetic field, reversing prior knowledge that all superconductors repel magnetic fields.” A metal in the avatar world, that makes it the way it is.

''who don't wanna live here?'' ME, for me Pandora is terrifying, beautiful, but I don't wanna live on planet that have more deadly creatures than Earth.
