In this maths lesson we will be looking at how to compare fractions with different denominators. Comparing fractions is an essential part of the fractions unit. Being able to order and compare fractions means that you can judge which one has the greater/least value.

We do this by finding common multiples to create equivalent fractions, then looking at the numerator to compare which has the greater value.
