resizing, scaling up, zooming in, scale down, zoom out.
And it is 2d scaling.
Sx and Sy are scaling factors.
If Sx>1 you are scaling UP.

Here you will multiply
A' = A. S
B' = B. S
C' = C.S


A= [x y]
S= [ Sx 0]
[0 Sy]

and A.S = [x. Sx y.Sy] 1x2 matrix

for those who are confused with matrix multiplication, the scaling matrix comes before the point matrix

A' = S * A
and not
A' = A * S
