50s Wiring VS Modern Wiring [A/B TEST] #shortfeed

Holy shit, there’s the difference…🤯I might fool myself blindfold testing this, or maybe not! I’ll do the test in the upcoming YT video together with you, haha! 😀

This is what you get just by flipping 50s wiring with modern wiring, even with the tonecontrol open in a Gibson Les Paul. 🎸

This is what I hear or feel: a hint more high end and openness in the 50s wiring. Modern wiring comes across as a little more smooth but the trade-off is loss of gain. Again, probably not noticeable on phone but it’s happening…😬 Loss of mojo!

I'd like to see results of other tests as identical as possible but in different parts of the planet. Sound carries slightly different in different parts of the world. Have you ever had an afterthought or inclination that musical instruments and notes sound more harmonious under a full moon? A sound variance similar to those of the tide.

I edited my reply, how you could do a null test

loss of mojo ? :) tobad yuou cant use null testing, since playing will never be 100the same. you can if you would feed both wiring styles the same signal from a 3rth guitar. line them up after in your software and invert one and route them out true the same signal path, and see whats left. whats left is the difference of the 2 styles. if its silience.. there is no difference.

problem is that all settings on the pots need to be 100% accurate (volume and tone setting pot) to make the test valid. would be hard :)

you could do that if you used a pre recorded piece to do the test with, put it trough setup one, then resolder to modern and record again.
