In one of the houses I lived in the past I had that attic entrance in my bedroom ceiling. One day I came back home and saw a light markings that looked like someone pressed their hands covered in soot near that entrance and on the nearby wall. Never found out any explanation but it was VERY uncomfortable to sleep looking at it (also landlord, when he was decorating the house bought 2 ikea red bedside lamps which made that bedroom even more unsettling after dusk😅) I hated that house.

I have one that looks exactly like that near the Bathroom. As much as you safe guard your place. Still feels like anyone or anything can come through that of the night time when you are sleeping.

That looked more like air pressure causing the attic door to pop up for a second. This can happen if there’s a window open in the attic or a hole that air can get through and someone opens a door or window elsewhere in the house that causes the pressure to change.

I do maintenance in buildings up to 90 years old.. this is fairly common to see strong wind, doors being closed hard can also cause upwards force moving covers for the attics. Also call the cops cause someone could be in there, lol never know what you'll find. Animals like raccoons also can do this.... it could just be a thin piece of wood or metal that's easily moved...

If a window is open or exterior door and a draft blows through it can cause it to happen ! It will scare the shit out of someone if they don’t know this is possible 😮

Happened to me once, there was just a hole in my roof and when i opened the window it got pushed up
