I recently had the opportunity to run an introductory workshop to lighting in Unreal Engine for LTU (Lawrence Technical University). This workshop was completely free for all participants as it was funded by the Epic Mega Grants through LTU and was run fully remotely through Discord. This will be a 4 part video series (3 Modules) that captures the entire workshop. Each video or module will cover a different aspect of the model preparation workflow for Unreal Engine.

Bonus Module - Rendering High Resolution Screenshots: Coming Soon

If you found this video helpful, let me know in the comments below and I will be happy to share more Unreal Engines content on my Youtube channel. Enjoy!

Software used in Tutorial:
Unreal Engine 4.26.1

Thanks for your video. A question for you: I'm trying to import from Rhino, which works, however it does not maintain group structure. in this video you imported the arm from online and it seemed to work. What can i do to ensure that when i import via datasmith that i can then move/rotate the asset? Selecting each mesh individually and grouping in Unreal has worked to a point, however some of my block assemblies simply have too many parts. Given that the asset you imported was moveable as an assembly there must be a way? Please and thanks!!

Can you actually move the robotic arm in your demo? I'd be interested to see how.

Are you able to take the tessellated geometry into substance painter then reimport with the edited texture maps? What does that process look like?
