I got a Canon Rebel XS for Christmas. So far it's been great for getting started. I've taken about 800 pictures already, mostly just playing around. I'm glad I have this cleared up so there's a method to my madness, so to speak. Thanks!

Honestly if you don't have tons of money to spend on a Dslr camera i would go with something like the nikon p510 its cheap and it takes great pics
