Tropical Storm “Isaias” was Something Else!
Not having electricity with small children is HARD, and with “Homegirl Rona” in town.... it made everything worse.
But we are grateful that everything is back up & working. 😊💜

When my kids were little, we I’d actually pitch our tent in the living room. They thought of it as an adventure. We’d play board games by candlelight. They loved it.

HEY FAMILY 💜💜 So glad we all made it out. Where I live in NC once the storm hit, there was a tornado literally 2 minutes or less from my house and 2 counties over there was an EF3 tornado that wiped out an entire community 🥺 It could have been ANY of us but I’m so grateful that we only lost power and minimal damage from the tornado at my house 🤍

So glad you got your electric back that would make me crazy because the kids would be complaining about no internet.

We are blessed to live in a place that actually works quickly. It’s sad that there are others who aren’t so lucky and have no power for months. My family were one of those unlucky ones, they live in Puerto Rico and when hurricane Maria hit them, they had no power for almost a year. I wish we never had hurricanes, but that’s just a wishful thinking. May God bless each and every one of you. 💖

I never heard of losing part power! Loosing power in the Summer is the worst! So glad for you all it came back! Better luck for the rest of the Summer and Fall, please no more Hurricanes or Tropical storms!

Thank God your power came back on Kim...I hate it when the power goes out. I grew up in the Appalachian mountains so we would lose power quite a bit during heavy winters. We have baked potatoes in the fireplace several times....of course that was around 30 years ago. But still...we are blessed with electricity.

That's the worst ever when your power go out, or your refrigerator stopped working all together, 🤦 hip hip hooray it came back on for y'all .

Girl...Dayton Ike decided to travel. The wind from that took everything out. I went without power for 12 days. When the power came back, I was scared to open my freezer and fridge. When I did, I cleaned so fast so that the smell did not make me sick. Buying food was ok because I didn't go shopping before it hit. Now, I have a generator just in case. Glad you are up and running again.

Bless your hearts, having your power off for all of that time. I'm like you & your Mother, Kimberly...I've never lost power for even 12 hrs. in the same day. I felt badly several years ago, when we had terrible flooding here & some people in our town lost their homes. The power went out briefly in my home, then came back on & stayed on. I found out months later that half of the people in my neighborhood lost power for several days. I never knew this! If I had known, I would have invited my neighbors to my home (not all at once...lol) to use my electricity. I was just relaxing at home...totally unaware. So thankful your power is now completely restored! ❤

Florida girl here. I have lost power from 2 to 3 weeks at a time with different hurricanes. I have a small generator that gives you one TV and a small fan in this Florida heat. I feel you.

Hahaha, your mom is too much, doing her little happy dance. When your fridge stops working is the worst, all that food that might get spoiled. My grandma's fridge stopped working during a heatwave and I was looking all over the place for a new one so her cheese wouldn't go bad :D.

Wow - so glad you got your power back! Here in Brooklyn, NY that storm knocked down lots of trees. One tree fell on my block and we lost power for eight hours that’s nothing compared to you . We lost internet, WiFi and TV for five days. Still thankful cause I know many had it worse. God bless❤️
